About Us

The Yeşilırmak-Yedidalga Producers' Association was founded in 1995 when the farmers of two villages at Cyprus's western tip decided to join forces.

The story of a producers' association

The Yeşilırmak-Yedidalga Producers' Association was founded in 1995 when the farmers of two villages at Cyprus's western tip decided to join forces. Our purpose was simple then and remains so now: to protect what this soil produces, to stand beside those who work it, and to carry century-old traditions forward to the next generation.

In November 2025 we celebrated our 30th anniversary.

Our Work

What we do

Our work falls into three areas.

Festivals

We organise two festivals each year — the Strawberry Festival in Yeşilırmak in spring, and the Verigo Festival in Yedidalga in summer. These festivals connect regional producers directly with consumers and welcome visitors from all over Cyprus into our corner of the island.

Producer support

Working alongside the muhtars of Yeşilırmak and Yedidalga, the Municipality of Lefke, and Lefke European University, we advocate for regional producers, raise concerns with relevant authorities, and follow up on compensation processes after events such as hail damage.

Culture and promotion

The legend of the Strawberry Festival, the Dillirga folk song, our Guinness-record grapevine, Petra tou Limnidi — the region's cultural and natural heritage is protected and promoted under this association's roof.

Board of Directors

Elected at the 17th Ordinary General Assembly, March 2026.

Two villages, one association

Yeşilırmak and Yedidalga: one at the foot of the mountain built on strawberries and citrus, the other on the coast built on fishing and grapes. Less than five kilometres apart. The bond between them is far older. Our association is the structure that brings these two villages together under one roof.
